Epson is a leading manufacturer of innovative micro- and displaycontroller products. Their technologies of low voltage operation and low power consumption acquired over the years through the development of 4- and 8-bit microcontrollers for watches and electronic shelf labels (ESL) are inherited by 16- and 32-bit microcontrollers today. The product lineup has been expanded, while achieving better throughputs. The display functions range from small-sized segment LDC drive to QVGA and higher resolution color display. S1C17 Family – Low Power 16Bit Microcontrollers
The S1C17 family of Epson's original 16-bit MCUs integrate a wide variety of interfaces allowing connection with multiple sensors and a wealth of peripheral circuits such as an LCD controller and driver supporting low to medium-level resolutions. The S1C17 family microcontroller, that has RISC architecture to achieve high-speed operation and low power consumption, is best suited for mobile devices. S1D13U11 – Color TFT Panel Display Controller with high-speed USB 2.0 Interface

The newly developed S1D13U11 uses one USB interface for both upstream and downstream transmissions of color TFT panel image data and touch-screen/key-switch input data. This allows a single USB cable to replace the multiple internal lines that were once needed. It also makes it possible to reduce the space occupied by wiring between the host CPU and color TFT panel, and to use a long cable and special connections (e.g. rotating hinges).

S1D13781 WQVGA Graphics Controller

The S1D13781 is a simple, multi-purpose Graphics LCD Controller with 384KByte embedded SRAM displaybuffer which supports both RGB interface TFT and CSTN panels. The S1D13781 supports most popular CPUinterfaces in both 8/16-bit and Direct/Indirect variations. The embedded display buffer allows WQVGA up to480x272 at 24bpp or 800x480 8bpp for single layer display, or 480x272 at 16bpp (Main Layer) and 480x272 at8bpp (PIP Layer) for two layer display.
